ALLSPICE WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY

Allspice Institute Pte. Ltd (“Allspice“) respects the privacy of all our customers and business contacts, and is committed to safeguarding the personal data you provide to us.  Please read this Privacy Policy to learn more about the ways in which we collect, use and protect your personal data.  We want you to fully understand our privacy practices. 1: Overview

1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected via Allspice’s website and Allspice portal at Allspiceinstitute.com and all related domains and sub-domains (“Site“).

1.2 The Site may contain links to Allspice’s partners, business affiliates and/or other third party websites. For the avoidance of doubt, the Privacy Policy will not apply to websites other than the Site. Allspice takes no responsibility for the privacy practices of the content of any websites other than the Site.

1.3 This Privacy Policy describes the information that we collect from you and how we may deal with that information, in the course of our normal business operations.

2: Information Collection and Use

2.1 If you choose to purchase or products or use our services, we may require you to provide contact and identity information and other personal data as indicated on the forms throughout the Site. Where possible, we will indicate which fields are mandatory and which fields are optional.

2.2 We collect and use your personal data to allow us to provide products, services and features to meet your needs, and to customise and improve our products and services to make your experience more secure and convenient. We only collect personal data about you that we consider reasonably necessary for achieving these purposes.

2.3 Allspice may also request further information from you where required or permitted by applicable law.

2.4 You may if you wish, opt-in to receive marketing information via phone, SMS, or newsletter from: Allspice, and/or its affiliates and partners. This information may include the latest news on new products, promotions, contests and/or lucky draws.  If you change your mind at any time and wish to unsubscribe, you may easily do so by contacting us at Allspiceinstitute.com.

2.5 Any personal data gathered about you will only be used in the context of and for purposes reasonable for the business that Allspice conducts including the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, and for any other purpose required for the fair processing of such data. You may notify Allspice to cease processing the data if you are unhappy with the way Allspice uses such data or you wish Allspice to cease using any such data.  You may also notify Allspice to access, update, rectify or remove any of your personal data in Allspice’s possession or control.

2.6 In general, we collect and use your personal data to facilitate our provision of the products and services ordered or requested by you. We will maintain records about your purchase or use of our products and services. We will collect, use and retain the data in your records, and such other data that we may obtain from time to time in connection with your current and past activities on the Site, for as long as the purpose for which the data is collected continues or where otherwise necessary for legal purposes or the purposes of our normal business operations where permitted by applicable law. Thereafter, we will destroy or delete the data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you such that the data is fully anonymised. We process your personal data for the following purposes and such other purposes as detailed in this Privacy Policy: providing you with products and services, and information relating to products and services ordered or requested by you, including any sales, refunds, or exchanges; notifying you of any changes to the products and services you have ordered, improving our products and services; resolving disputes; troubleshooting problems; collecting payments owed to us; conducting surveys, obtaining customer feedback and measuring consumer interest in our products and services; communicating with you; administering the Site and customising and optimising your experience on the Site; providing your personal data to third party service providers for Site and service administration; complying with applicable laws and regulations; detecting and protecting us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; other business purposes including managing accounts and records, legal, regulatory and internal investigations and debt administration; marketing purposes if you opt to receive marketing material from us;  and such other purposes as may be notified to you before or at the time of collection or use of the data.

2.7 We may also look across multiple users to identify problems or resolve disputes, and in particular, we may examine your personal data to identify users using multiple user-IDs or aliases. We may also compare and review your personal data for errors, omissions and/or accuracy.

2.8 Under some circumstances, we may require certain financial information from you.  We use your financial information (including credit card information) only to verify the accuracy of your name, address, and other information, to detect any fraud or other criminal activity, to bill you for your purchases, and to process payments made by you.

2.9 We may automatically track certain information based upon your behaviour on the Site.  We use this information to do internal research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand, protect and serve our users in general and you in particular. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on the Site or not), which URL you next access (whether this URL is on the Site or not), your computer browser information, and your IP address.

2.10 We use data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of the Site to promote trust and security, help analyse our web page flow and measure promotional effectiveness. “Cookies” are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing our services.  We may offer features that are only available through the use of a “cookie”.  We also use cookies to reduce the number of times you need to enter your password. Cookies can also help us provide to you information that is targeted to your interests. Most cookies are “session cookies”, meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session. You are always free to decline our cookies (if your browser permits you to do so), although in that case you may not be able to use certain features on the Site and you may be required to enter your password more frequently during a session on the Site.

3: Disclosure to Third Parties

3.1 Subject to this Clause 3, your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent.  

3.2 We reserve the right to disclose your personal data to any group company within Allspice’s organisation, third party service providers (including any entity which hosts or manages data from the Site; credit, debit and charge card companies, banks and other entities processing payment instructions given by you through the Site; lawyers; auditors; course providers and trainers; service providers; data centre providers); agents, subcontractors and suppliers to the extent required in the normal course and scope of our business in the provision of our products and services; government or regulatory authorities, and where required or permitted by applicable law, statute, stock exchange regulation or by-law, regulatory or governmental order or court order.  

4: Security

4.1 Your privacy is important to us. We put in place reasonable security arrangements (which shall at least be equivalent to industry standard practices) to protect your privacy and personal data, in such manner and to such extent as we deem reasonably appropriate to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. However, there is no such thing as “perfect security” and we do not guarantee in any way, and you should not expect, that your personal data or private communications will always remain private and/or safe from any abuse or misuse by third parties.

4.2 Your information is stored on Allspice’s servers located in Singapore. We use such procedural and technical safeguards as we deem reasonably necessary to protect your privacy and to protect your personal data against loss, theft and unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. We will also employ the appropriate security techniques to reasonably protect data against loss, theft, and unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal by users inside and outside Allspice.

4.3 Allspice employees are required, as a condition of their employment, to treat personal data held by Allspice as confidential, and to maintain the confidentiality of that personal data.

4.4 As “perfect security” does not exist, Allspice does not represent or warrant that there will not be, and hereby disclaims any responsibility or liability directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with, any loss, theft, or unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar actions with regard to any information held or maintained by us.

5: Changes to the Privacy Policy

5.1 Allspice reserves the right to amend its prevailing Privacy Policy at any time and will place any such amendments on the Site.

6: Governing Law

6.1 This Privacy Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Singapore law, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.  By accessing the Site and providing information requested, you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
